-- The Chicago Federal Reserve Bank's monthly National Activity Index fell to a reading of minus 0.20 in March from 0.03 in February, compared with expectations for a smaller decrease to minus 0.13 in survey of analysts compiled by Bloomberg as of 7:35 am ET.
The three-month moving average declined to minus 0.03 from 0.03.
Of the 85 individual indicators, 34 made positive contributions to the index in March, while 51 made negative contributions. Some 43 indicators improved in the month, while 40 indicators deteriorated, and two were unchanged.
