The copper miner's Hong Kong shares gained nearly 1% in morning trade Wednesday.
Basic earnings per share were 0.82 yuan, compared with 0.57 yuan in the prior year period.
Revenue jumped 25% year on year to 139.12 billion yuan, figures showed.
