-- The European Commission has approved the acquisition of joint control of ME Kobiernice sp. z o.o. by EDF Renewables Polska sp. z o.o. and Eurus Energy Europe B.V., under the EU Merger Regulation, it said in a statement on Monday.
The deal centers on the development and operation of a battery energy storage system in Poland.
The Commission said the transaction does not raise competition concerns, noting that the joint venture's activities in the European Economic Area are negligible. The case was reviewed under the bloc's simplified merger procedure.
