-- Agri-machinery company Escorts Kubota's (NSE:ESCORTS, BOM:500495) total sales jumped 24.4% to 10,857 tractors in April against 8,729 tractors sold a year ago, according to a Friday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.
The company's shares were up by more than 1% in recent trade.
Domestic sales in April soared nearly 27.6% to 10,398 units, while exports slipped 21.0% to 459 units.
Escorts' construction equipment division also slipped 1% year-on-year to 396 units from 400 units.
