Net income attributable to equity holders for the three months ended March 31 was $3.11 billion, compared with $2.63 billion earlier. EPS moved to $1.24 from $0.96.
The Norwegian energy company's total revenue and other income were $27.84 billion, compared with $29.92 billion a year ago.
Meanwhile, the board declared a cash dividend of $0.39 per share for the quarter, payable Aug. 27. It paid $0.37 per share in the year-ago period.
