-- Delta Electronics (TPE:2308) board has approved a short-form merger with its unit, Vivotek Inc., with the parent absorbing the unit, according to a Wednesday Taiwan bourse filing.
The merger aims to streamline the group's investment structure and enhance operational efficiency.
Delta will absorb all assets and liabilities of Vivotek, which will be dissolved upon completion.
In a separate same-day filing, the company also approved the construction of a new plant in Guanyin with an estimated total investment of NT$10.3 billion.
The project will be built on the company's own land to support business development, with further details on the construction contract to be disclosed once finalized.
