-- Defense Metals (DEFN.V) has completed the mobilization of field crews for a spring core drill program at the Wicheeda rare earths project in British Columbia.
The company plans to complete about 6,865 meters of drilling, which aims to provide critical data for engineering and environmental datasets required for a feasibility study.
The program will comprise 1,475 m of pit slope geotechnical drilling, 2,590 m of waste rock geochemical drilling, and 2,800 m of resource upgrade and infill drilling.
"This drill campaign, with a particular focus on infill drilling, is strategically designed to both enhance and expand our current mineral resource and reserve estimates potentially resulting in the extension of the Wicheeda project's mine life," Chief Executive Officer Mark Tory said.
