-- CMS Energy (CMS) reported Q1 earnings Tuesday, with total electric deliveries at 10,497 million kilowatt-hours, down from 10,967 million kWh a year ago.
The company delivered 155.7 Bcf of gas for the quarter ended Mar. 31, up from 153.7 Bcf a year earlier, it said.
CMS delivered 3,220 million kWh to residential customers, up from 3,205 million kWh a year ago, while commercial deliveries reached 2,844 million kWh, compared with 2,911 million kWh a year earlier.
The company supplied 2,219 million kWh to industrial customers, rising from 2,041 million kWh a year ago.
CMS delivered 73.55 Bcf of gas to residential customers in the quarter, up from 72.60 Bcf a year earlier, while commercial deliveries increased to 28.78 Bcf from 28.15 Bcf.
The company reported industrial gas deliveries of 3.85 Bcf, down from 3.99 Bcf a year earlier.
CMS Energy is expanding its clean energy pipeline with about 8 gigawatts of solar and 2.8 GW of wind capacity additions, the company said.
The company is advancing projects totaling about 660 MW tied to data centers and industrial demand, including 450 MW already online and additional capacity under development, it said.
CMS Energy has built a development pipeline of about 9 GW, including 4 GW to 5 GW in advanced stages and 1 GW to 2 GW in final stages, it said.
The company plans to invest $24 billion from 2026 to 2030, up $4 billion from the prior plan, allocating about 36% to electric generation, 36% to electric distribution and other, and 28% to gas utility, it said.
