-- Carnival Corp. (CCL) and Carnival plc said Thursday they completed the unification of their dual-listed structure under a single entity, Carnival Corp. Ltd., and shifted their place of incorporation to Bermuda from Panama.
The move will create a single global share price, streamline governance and reporting, cut administrative costs, and may increase liquidity and index weighting, according to a statement.
Existing Carnival Corp. shareholders now hold the same number of shares in Carnival Corp. Ltd., which continues to trade on the NYSE under CCL. Carnival plc shareholders received one share of Carnival Corp. Ltd. for each plc share held as of Tuesday.
