-- BYD Electronic (International) (HKG:0285) recorded a 96% decline in attributable profit in the first quarter of 2026 to 27.8 million yuan from 622.1 million yuan a year prior, according to a Tuesday Hong Kong bourse filing.
Earnings per share slipped to 0.01 yuan from 0.28 yuan in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
The handset component manufacturer's revenue climbed 3.5% to 38.2 billion yuan from 36.9 billion yuan in the year-ago period.
The lower profit came about amid currency exchange losses due to fluctuations in the exchange rate, as well as changes in product structure.
