-- Battery X Metals (BATX.CN) said Tuesday that it has elected not to renew the expired mineral claims comprising the Reservoir-Dozois and Leaf River projects in Quebec.
The company said the decision reflects its disciplined approach to capital allocation and its focus on advancing high-priority exploration assets, including the Y lithium project in Saskatchewan.
Battery X said it also continues to advance its AI-powered critical battery metals exploration initiatives in Nevada under a partnership with TerraDX Discoveries.
Separately, Battery X said it filed a final international patent application under the patent cooperation treaty for its next-generation lithium-ion battery diagnostics and rebalancing technology platform.
The patent application claims priority rights from two previously filed U.S. provisional patent applications. It also enables the company to pursue patent protection in over 150 countries, Battery X said.
