Blackstone Minerals Says Exploration Activities to Resume at Philippines Copper-Gold Project, Shares Soar 65%

-- Blackstone Minerals (ASX:BSX) said the cease and desist order issued by the Municipal Mayor of Mankayan was lifted, allowing for exploration activities to resume at the Mankayan copper-gold project in the Philippines, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

Drilling activities in support of a prefeasibility study are expected to begin in the near-term, with up to 10 drill holes planned. The order previously prevented exploration activities by Blackstone's affiliate, Crescent Mining & Development.

Its shares soared 65% in recent trading on Tuesday.
