ICBC's Profit Rises 3% in Q1
Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (HKG:1398, SHA:601398) posted net profit attributable to equity holders of the parent of 86.9 billion yuan in the first quarter, up 3.3% from 84.2 billion yuan a year earlier, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing.Earnings per share came in at 0.24 yuan from 0.23 yuan a year earlier.Operating income rose 8.5% to 222.0 billion yuan from 204.7 billion yuan in the prior-year period.
