Research Alert: CFRA Maintains Hold Rating On Shares Of Adobe Inc.

CFRA, an independent research provider, has providedwith the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:ADBE held its annual customer experience conference Adobe Summit earlier this week, announcing new innovations for customer experience orchestration. A key highlight of the conference was the unveiling of its first agentic product, Adobe CX Experience, to simplify customer lifecycle management, including acquiring prospective customers and driving conversions. Other highlights of the conference include the launch of Adobe Brand Intelligence and expansion of Adobe GenStudio solutions. The Summit signals ADBE's move into agentic solutions, where it has lagged large enterprise software peers in AI Agent products. Thus, we view the launch of Adobe CX Experience positively as a step toward driving greater AI adoption and monetization. ADBE also announced a $25B stock buyback program that will run through April 2030. For context, ADBE spent $11.7B in FY 25, and while we welcome returning capital to shareholders, we do not expect the buyback program to be particularly impactful.

Canada's Spring Economic Statement To Maintain Momentum, Says Scotiabank

Canadians will get a first progress check on Prime Minister Mark Carney government's trillion-dollar plan under its new fiscal framework next Tuesday, Scotiabank. The 2026 Spring Economic Statement will be tabled amid a highly uncertain global backdrop that only reinforces the case for Canada's ambitious investment-led strategy, noted the bank. While near-term economic activity remains weak, a recovery should take hold as risks dissipate, stated Scotiabank. With inflation risk sidelining the Bank of Canada for now, the near-term burden shifts more squarely to fiscal policy, where preserving optionality may be the safer bet should downside risks materialize.Despite a long list of headwinds, a stronger nominal growth profile may point to additional fiscal headroom in this update, it pointed out. That could open the door to additional spending, though Scotiabank assumes they would do so within the contours of the earlier deficit profile.Debt ratios could look materially better under such a scenario, reflecting material historic gross domestic product revisions. The update will land in a highly volatile market environment. Well-channeled fiscal activism combined with a bottom line that may not look materially different is unlikely to move markets in the near term, added the bank.More important will be signs that the investment agenda is gaining traction as some investors may remain cautious on both execution and geopolitical risk.Overall, the update is likely to be about maintaining momentum and sharpening delivery, while laying the groundwork for bolder steps in Budget 2026.

CSX Positioned for Further Revenue and Margin Growth, RBC Says

CSX (CSX) has more room to grow revenue and margins as rail demand improves and cost controls hold, RBC Capital Markets said Wednesday in a report. The company's Q1 earnings topped expectations, helped by stronger underlying margins and a land sale, RBC said. Excluding the sale, the operating ratio improved, pointing to cost performance that could carry through the year, the report said.Management raised its 2026 revenue outlook to the mid-single-digit range, driven largely by higher fuel-surcharge revenue, the report said. Improving volume trends were not included in the higher guidance, leaving room for upside, especially with CSX's 600-project pipeline and more than 20 projects already placed into service in Q1, RBC said.CSX is now aiming for the high end of its 200- to 300-basis-point margin improvement range, with additional room for operating-ratio gains if recent cost trends continue, the report said. RBC lifted its 2026 EPS estimate to $1.90 from $1.84 and raised its 2027 estimate to $2.11 from $2.06.RBC increased its price target on CSX stock to $47 from $43 and maintained its outperform rating.Price: $46.22, Change: $+3.04, Percent Change: +7.04%
