Ingredion Proposal Values Tate & Lyle at up to 615 Pence per Share

Ingredion (INGR) has made a conditional proposal for a possible cash offer for Tate & Lyle, the UK food ingredients company said Thursday.

Under the proposal, Tate & Lyle shareholders would receive up to 615 pence per share, comprising 595 pence in cash and the right to receive up to 20 pence in permitted dividends, subject to approvals.

Tate & Lyle said discussions are ongoing and that there is no certainty a firm offer will be made or on the final terms of any potential transaction.

Shares of Ingredion were down 3.2% in Thursday trading.
