Research Alert: Host Hotels & Resorts Inc Q1: Guidance Up, Revpar Momentum Continues

CFRA, an independent research provider, has providedwith the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:HST reported Q1 2026 revenue of $1.6B (+3.2% Y/Y), $49M above consensus, with FFO per share of $0.67 (+4.7% Y/Y) beating consensus by $0.06. Comparable total RevPAR increased 4.6% Y/Y to $418.20, with hotel EBITDA margins expanding 70 bps to 32.7% and occupancy improving 40 bps to 70.3%, driven by strong performance in Miami (+14.9%), San Francisco/San Jose (+25.6%), and Jacksonville (+16.1%). We believe HST's strategic renovations with Hyatt and Marriott, including $19M in operating guarantees expected in 2026, support long-term asset value enhancement and competitive positioning. Management raised FY 2026 guidance with FFO now expected at $2.10-$2.16 per share and comparable hotel RevPAR growth of 3.5%-5.0%. We expect continued benefit from FIFA World Cup events and special events driving modest improvements to group bookings. HST maintains a robust balance sheet with $3.4B in total liquidity including $1.7B cash, providing flexibility for $175-$210M in transformational capital investments.

Research Alert: Kxs Q1: Blowout 32% Ebitda Margin Highlights Double Beat Quarter

CFRA, an independent research provider, has providedwith the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:KXS delivered a blowout Q1, beating revenue expectations with $165.6M (+25% Y/Y) and adjusted EPS of $1.34 versus the $1.14 consensus, more than doubling Y/Y. SaaS revenue accelerated to 21% growth, reaching $102.9M, while subscription term licenses surged 111% and adjusted EBITDA margin expanded an unexpected 700 bps to 32%. The strong performance was driven by record new business bookings, operating leverage, and successful wins in large customer opportunities and existing relationship expansions. Management maintained cautious FY 26 guidance of $620M-$635M revenue and 17%-19% SaaS growth despite the Q1 outperformance. Annual recurring revenue accelerated to 20% growth reaching $447M, while operating cash flow surged 87% to $59.1M in its asset-light model. The contracted revenue backlog of $948.7M provides strong visibility with $309.3M expected in remainder of 2026. We view the maintained guidance as conservative and believe the company should be able to exceed these targets.

Research Alert: Mksi Delivers Q1 Results And Guidance Solidly Ahead Of Consensus, Aided By Ai

CFRA, an independent research provider, has providedwith the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:MKSI reported Q1 sales of $1.08B (+15% Y/Y), beating consensus expectations of $1.05B, with non-GAAP EPS of $2.30 (+35% Y/Y) well ahead of consensus at $2.05. Gross margin of 47.0% (+60bps Q/Q, -40bps Y/Y) and operating margin of 21.8% (+80bps Q/Q, +160bps Y/Y) demonstrated operational improvements. We continue to attribute this strength to growing AI infrastructure demand, which is increasingly benefiting MKSI across all segments where spending is expected to accelerate. Q2 guidance was well ahead of the Street, with revenue and EPS midpoints of $1.20B and $2.90 vs. consensus of $1.09B/$2.38. Semiconductor segment (43% of sales) grew 13% Y/Y, accelerating from 9% in the prior quarter, while Electronics & Packaging (30%) was up 27% and Specialty Industrial (27%) grew 8%, showing continued recovery. We expect AI infrastructure spending to accelerate into H2 2026 and 2027, with management highlighting strong Q1 bookings activity supporting this outlook.
