Bookoff Group's Sales Climb 15% in May

Bookoff Group's (TYO:9278) existing store sales climbed nearly 15% year on year in May, while all store sales grew 16%, according to its Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday.

Net sales in categories such as trading cards and hobby goods, apparel, home appliances and smartphones, and software media all exceeded the levels recorded in the same month a year ago.

The company opened a new outlet in Japan TCG Center Kinshicho Marui Store, Sumida-ku, Tokyo, bringing its total stores to 836 at the end of February.
