Bajaj Auto's Consolidated Profit Soars in Fiscal Q4

-- Bajaj Auto's (NSE:BAJAJ-AUTO, BOM:532977) consolidated attributable profit rose sharply to 36.6 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31, from 18.0 billion rupees a year ago.

Earnings per share climbed to 130.9 rupees from 64.4 rupees a year earlier, the automobile manufacturer said in a filing to the Indian stock exchanges on Wednesday.

Revenue from operations in fiscal Q4 increased to 178.3 billion rupees from 126.5 billion rupees a year ago.

The company's board recommended a dividend of 150 rupees per share of face value of 10 rupees each for the financial year ended March 31.

Norway's BlueNord Places $400 Million of Senior Unsecured Bond

BlueNord (BNOR.OL) said Wednesday it issued a new senior unsecured bond worth $400 million with a fixed interest rate of 7.875% per annum.The five-year bond is due in 2031, with the net proceeds earmarked for refinancing the oil and gas company's $300 million senior unsecured bonds, as well as for general corporate purposes. Settlement is scheduled for May 19.DNB Carnegie, Fearnley Securities, and Pareto Securities acted as joint bookrunners for the bond issue.
