Astra Microwave Products' Consolidated Profit Grows in Fiscal Q4

Astra Microwave Products' (NSE:ASTRAMICRO, BOM:532493) consolidated profit attributable to the owners increased to 1.06 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal fourth quarter from 734.9 million rupees a year ago.

Earnings per share for the quarter ended March 31 climbed to 11.14 rupees from 7.74 rupees a year earlier, according to a Tuesday filing on Indian bourses.

Revenue from operations rose year on year to 4.88 billion rupees from 4.08 billion rupees.

The board of the company declared a dividend of 2.40 rupees per share for the financial year ended March 31.

STT GDC, Alibaba Cloud Roll Out AI Training Initiative for Singapore Firms

ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) partnered with Alibaba's (HKG:9988) cloud unit and Tech Talent Assembly, an affiliate of the National Trades Union Congress, to support the adoption of generative and agentic AI across Singapore enterprises and workers, according to a Tuesday press release.The initiative aims to support up to 1,000 enterprises, developers, and students through access to AI tools, implementation support, and workforce training.Participants will receive access to Alibaba Cloud's Qwen and Wan models, as well as agentic AI tools including Qoder and QoderWork, for applications such as workflow automation, software development, and customer engagement.The program will begin in June and include workshops, guided deployment support, and AI infrastructure readiness assessments developed by STT GDC.Alibaba shares were down nearly 3% in Wednesday's late morning trade.

Biome Australia Adds Greece Site to Lactiplantibacillus Plantarum Clinical Trial, Shares Jump 4%

Biome Australia (ASX:BIO) said the multi-center clinical trial of its first wholly proprietary strain, BMB18, or Lactiplantibacillus plantarum, was expanded from a single-centre study at La Trobe University in Melbourne with the activation of Harokopio University of Athens in Greece as a concurrent second site, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.The three-arm, double-blind, placebo-controlled study will test two BMB18 dosage levels against placebo across 240 participants over a six-week intervention period with a two-week follow-up.Pre-clinical work showed that the strain has the potential for a triple mechanism of action across intestinal barrier function, immunomodulation, and antioxidant activity.Recruitment is expected to begin this week at both sites, and the trial is expected to start in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026.Its shares rose 4% in recent trading on Wednesday.
