Aurora Cannabis Acquires Safari Flower Company, Boosting EU GMP Capacity

-- Aurora Cannabis (ACB.TO) said Wednesday that it has acquired Safari Flower Company, a European certified cannabis cultivator and manufacturer in a transaction valued at $26.5 million.

Aurora issued 2.42 million shares and paid the selling shareholder $15 million in cash. The transaction also includes a $2 million cash payment if certain conditions are met, a statement said.

This transaction is expected to deliver positive adjusted EBITDA contributions in fiscal year 2027. Safari Flower's 59,000 square foot, indoor cultivation and manufacturing facility, in Ontario, will provide incremental capacity and be used to supply EU GMP flower to Aurora's key markets, including Germany, Australia, Poland, and the UK, and support further market expansion.

"The acquisition of Safari Flower Company marks an important milestone for Aurora as we continue to purposefully invest in expanding our EU GMP capacity to support the rapidly growing international medical cannabis market," said Aurora chief executive Miguel Martin.

Aurora Cannabis shares are unchanged at US$3.53 in New York trading.
