Veon Unit Gets Antitrust Approval for TPL Insurance Stake Acquisition

-- Veon (VEON) said Tuesday the Competition Commission of Pakistan approved its Jazz International Holding unit's acquisition of a controlling stake in TPL Insurance for roughly 4.15 billion Pakistani Rupees ($14.6 million).

The target business holds a general insurer license and recorded a gross written premium of 5.7 billion Rupees alongside more than 277,000 issued policies as of Dec. 31, 2025.

The transaction is anticipated to close midyear, according to the company.
