Nicola Mining Announces Nasdaq Listing and Pricies US$6 Million Offering

-- Nicola Mining (NIM.V) on Monday priced its US$6-million underwritten public offering of share units in the United States.

The company said it is offering 930,233 American Depositary Share (ADSs) units priced at US$6.45 including an ADS and a five-year warrant with an exercise price of C$12.2213.

The company said each ADS represents 12 shares of Nicola.

The ADSs are expected to begin trading today on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the ticker symbol "NICM".

The company plans to use the net proceeds for mill expansion, property, plant and equipment expenditures and general and administrative and working capital.

The company's shares were last seen down C$0.06 to C$0.87 on the TSX Venture Exchange.

Energy stocks were higher Tuesday afternoon, with the NYSE Energy Sector Index rising 1.1% and the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) adding 1.2%.The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index was climbing 1.8%, while the Dow Jones US Utilities Index fell 1.3%.Front-month West Texas Intermediate crude oil was rising 4.8% to $93.94 a barrel, and the global benchmark Brent crude contract was advancing 4.4% to $99.68 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures increased 0.3% to $2.70 per 1 million BTU.In corporate news, Halliburton (HAL) shares gained 4.1% after it reported lower Q1 adjusted net income and revenue that still topped analysts' expectations.
