CoreMarine, Jumbo Offshore Win Contract for FLNG Soft-Yoke Installation Offshore Argentina

-- CoreMarine and Jumbo Offshore have been awarded a contract by Southern Energy to transport and install a soft-yoke mooring system and complete hook-up of the Hilli Episeyo Floating Liquefied Natural Gas and MKII FLNG units offshore Argentina in Golfo San Matias.

Southern Energy is a special-purpose LNG export consortium created to develop Argentina's first large-scale floating LNG export system. The project is backed by a consortium including Pan American Energy, YPF, Pampa Energia, Harbour Energy, and Golar LNG.

CoreMarine will act as the lead contractor, with Jumbo Offshore responsible for the transportation and installation of the soft-yoke system, including heavy-lift and piling operations. CoreMarine will execute offshore hook-up activities, including diving works, spool installation, ballasting, riser connection, pre-commissioning, and positioning of both FLNG units.

The offshore scope will involve multiple simultaneous operations, including heavy lifting, saturation diving, riser installation, piling, and coordinated multi-vessel activity, requiring the charter of several support and construction vessels.

The soft-yoke system will allow both FLNG units to weathervane around a single mooring point, eliminating the need for fixed onshore infrastructure.

Project execution and engineering began in January 2026. Installation of the Hilli Episeyo FLNG is scheduled for 2027, followed by the MKII FLNG in 2028.
