Anson Resources Reports 148 Parts Per Million Lithium Assay at Utah Drilling Program

-- Anson Resources (ASX:ASN) said it has received a value of 148 parts per million (ppm) lithium from drilling fluid at the Mississippian horizon at 9,189 feet in the re-entry drilling program of the Mt Fuel-Skyline Geyser 1-25 well in Utah, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The company said samples of heavy drilling fluid were collected from the Mississippian Units, Leadville Formation, between 9,189 feet and 9,239 feet, with the Mississippian Mt Fuel Skyline Geyser estimated to be 650 feet to 660 feet thick according to a 3D model.

The company added that the assay results and other data will support an increase in the JORC resource estimate and have been sent to a third party for consideration for inclusion in a revised resource estimate.

The company's shares fell 2% in recent Monday trade.
