Bitfire to Buy Software Assets From Chairman-Linked Firm for HK$12 Million; Shares Jump 3%
Bitfire (HKG:1611) said it agreed to acquire software assets from a company controlled by its chairman, Li Lin, for about HK$12.4 million, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing.The assets comprise the AvenirX System, an investment and trading platform covering portfolio management, execution, and risk control functions.The consideration will be paid in cash in two instalments, the filing said.Bitfire said the acquisition will help integrate its trading infrastructure, enhance risk management, and support long-term growth in asset management.Shares of the company rose nearly 3% in early-morning trade on Wednesday.
