Shaanxi Coal's Coal Sales Rise 5% in April, Electricity Sales Climb 10%

-- Shaanxi Coal Industry's (SHA:601225) coal sales in April rose 5.4% to 13.8 million tons from 13.1 million tons a year earlier, according to a Friday disclosure on the Shanghai bourse.

Coal output climbed 9.7% year on year to 15.6 million tons from 14.2 million tons.

Meanwhile, the company's total electricity sales inched 9.9% higher year on year to 2.33 billion kWh from 2.12 billion kWh.

Total power generation during the month increased 9.8% to 2.49 billion kilowatt-hours from 2.27 billion kWh in the previous year.

The coal miner's shares slipped 1% during the midday trade.
