-- Metallurgy company Kennametal India's (NSE:KENNAMET, BOM:505890) net profit jumped to 514 million Indian rupees in the fiscal third quarter from 244 million rupees a year ago, according to an Indian bourse filing on Thursday.
Shares of the company soared over 14% in recent trade.
Earnings per share for the quarter months ended March 31 climbed to 23.38 rupees from 11.11 rupees a year earlier.
Revenue from operations of the steel products manufacturer rose sharply year on year to 4.03 billion rupees from 2.90 billion rupees, the filing said.
The company declared an interim dividend of 40 rupees per share for the financial year 2025-26, payable to shareholders of record on May 15.
