Nanjing Panda Electronics Narrows Loss in Q1
Nanjing Panda Electronics (HKG:0553) narrowed its attributable loss to 13.3 million yuan in the first quarter from 35.3 million yuan a year prior, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing.Loss per share stood at 0.0146 yuan, compared with 0.0386 yuan in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.The Chinese electronic equipment maker's operating income jumped 47% to 594.6 million yuan from 405.7 million yuan in the year-ago period.The narrower loss and higher operating income was mainly due to a higher number of orders from new clients in the firm's electronics manufacturing and telecom business wings.
