Philippines' Jobless Rate Slows to 5% in March
The Philippines' unemployment rate eased to 5.0% in March, from 5.1% a month earlier, according to data from the Philippine Statistics Authority released on Wednesday.The latest reading, however, is higher than the 3.9% recorded a year earlier.The number of unemployed persons in March stood at 2.58 million, down from 2.66 million in February but higher than 1.93 million in March 2025, the PSA said.Meanwhile, the country's employment rate was 95% in March, higher than 94.9% in February but below 96.1% a year earlier, the data showed.

Fraser and Neave Books Lower Attributable Profit in Fiscal H1
Fraser and Neave's (SGX:F99) attributable profit dropped to SG$81.6 million in the fiscal first half ended March 31, from SG$84.1 million a year earlier, according to a Wednesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.Basic earnings per share stood at SG$0.056 compared with SG$0.058 in the year-ago period.Revenue declined to SG$1.14 billion from SG$1.21 billion a year ago.The food and beverage company declared an interim dividend of SG$0.015 per share, unchanged from a year earlier. The dividend will be paid on June 5.

SAIC Motor Reports Double-Digit Slides in April Sales, Production
SAIC Motor's (SHA:600104) total sales declined 13% to 328,841 units in April from 376,517 units in the year-ago period, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.The carmaker's production fell 14% to 345,805 units from 403,176 units in the prior-year period.Shares slipped 1% during late-morning trading on Wednesday.
