Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were declining on Tuesday morning, down 1.4% to 2,747.76 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.From North Asia, the gainers were led by medical services platform PomDoctor (POM) and steel manufacturer Posco (PKX), which climbed 12% and 7.3% respectively.They were followed by consumer tech company Smart Share Global (EM) and banking holding company Mizuho Financial Group (MFG), which rose 4.3% and 2.2% respectively.The decliners from North Asia were led by technology and healthcare company VisionSys AI (VSA) and Internet and data center service provider VNET Group (VNET), which dropped 26% and 6.1% respectively.They were followed by cloud service provider Kingsoft Cloud (KC), which shed 6%.From South Asia, the gainers were led by pharmaceutical company Dr Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), which increased 0.8%.The decliners from South Asia were led by Sify Technologies (SIFY), which fell 2%, followed by telecoms Telkom Indonesia (TLK) and PLDT (PHI), which were down 1.5% and 1.6%, respectively.
Petro-Victory Energy's (VRY.V) SJ-12 well Sao Joao (SJ) field in Brazil encountered ~280 meters of gross interval containing hydrocarbon-bearing sections, the company said on Tuesday.The well encountered 72 net meters of hydrocarbon pay (gas). An additional 45 meters (147 feet) of hydrocarbon (oil) shows were identified, a statement added.Petro-Victory is planning an additional testing program to further evaluate the SJ-12 well, with results to be announced separately."The SJ-12 well significantly exceeds our expectations and marks a major milestone in the development of the Sao Joao Field. We have confirmed a robust and active petroleum system, with clear stacked pay potential. AeroVironment (AVAV) said Tuesday that it launched Halo_Shield, a counter-unmanned aircraft system designed to predict, detect, track, identify and defeat airborne threats, including Group 1-5 Unmanned Aircraft Systems, coordinated drone swarms, and subsonic cruise missiles.The company said it is currently demonstrating capabilities and has deployed Halo_Shield tiles at select critical sites.AeroVironment said Halo_Shield is deployable as portable fly-away kits and integrates with existing customer sensors, effectors, and command-and-control frameworks.Shares of the company were down 4.5% in Tuesday trading.Price: $187.67, Change: $-8.07, Percent Change: -4.12%
