-- オーストラリアのアンソニー・アルバネーゼ首相は月曜日の声明で、エネルギー安全保障の強化、特にエネルギー関連物資の相互貿易を通じた協力で日本と合意したと発表した。 アルバネーゼ首相は高市早苗首相との会談後、首相府から声明を発表し、両国はエネルギーやガスなどの必需品の円滑な流通を確保するために協力することで合意したと述べた。 声明によると、オーストラリアは日本のエネルギー需要の約3分の1を供給しており、オーストラリア産液化天然ガス（LNG）の最大の輸入国である一方、日本はオーストラリアにガソリンとディーゼル燃料を供給している。 声明は、今回の合意は「開かれたルールに基づく貿易と、両国間の必需エネルギー物資の円滑な流通を支援するというオーストラリアの決意」を示すものだと結論付けた。 声明は、両国間の合意が相互に利益をもたらすことを強調している。 しかし先週、エネルギー経済・金融分析研究所（IEFA）は、日本がLNGを輸入して他国へ即時転売していることを理由に、世界的なエネルギー危機の中、オーストラリア政府に対し日本へのLNG輸出を削減するよう求める報告書を発表した。こうした根拠に基づき、IEEFAは、日本が購入した一部のエネルギー量に対する関心は、エネルギー供給の安全保障とは関係なく、純粋に商業的なものであると述べた。
